Dunedin Bike Tour Information

What's included

What you need to bring

  • water

  • suitable clothing such as running shoes, extra warm layers and a windproof jacket

  • no jeans or baggy trousers

  • in winter (May-October) long pants and gloves

Please dress for the weather conditions on the day of your tour, the tour locations are often in exposed areas. You can check the weather forecast up to 10 days in advance at windy.com.

Optional Extras

We can provide bike upgrades or clipless pedals. Please advise us in the comments area of your booking. Payment can be made to the tour guide on the day of your tour.

Electric Bike $40 Avanti E Discovery low step thru 9spd 250W Shimano Steps motor. Melts the hills! Otago Peninsula Tour and Catlins Tour only.

Full Suspension Enduro Bike $40 29er with SRAM throughout, including Rockshox PIKE 160mm travel, SPDs included if required.

Fitness Requirements

Each tour has an indicative fitness level assigned, but this may differ for different people. You should be confident that you can ride the indicated number of kilometres comfortably. We do not have a support vehicle, so are unable to pick you up. The distance and terrain indicated are the minimum that this tour takes. Some tours allow flexibility to make the ride longer or more technical, if that's what you prefer.  If you have any specific query or issue, please email us for more detailed information. 

Families and Children

Children are welcome on the Otago Peninsula half day tour. For those aged 8-18 years old, bikes are provided.
